2026 MN statewide inland season (verify annually - dates shift each year): Northern Pike May 9, 2026 - Feb 28, 2027 (Northeast Zone limit — see below); Muskellunge Jun 6 - Nov 30; Largemouth/Smallmouth Bass catch-and-release Mar 1 - May 8, harvest May 9, 2026 - Feb 28, 2027 (Northeast Zone bass season starts 2 weeks earlier than the rest of the state). Vermilion Lake (St. Louis) carries a special Walleye protected slot (see below) year-round.
