Open year-round per the 2026 Utah Fishing Guidebook. Utah DWR closes possession of kokanee salmon statewide Sept 10-Nov 30 to protect the spawning run (not directly relevant at Bear Lake, which is not UDWR-stocked with kokanee, but a statewide rule). An angler may fish with up to two poles on the Utah portion of the lake (statewide default is one pole). Verify the current guidebook before fishing.
