Smith Mountain Lake is a 20,600-acre reservoir in Virginia, completed in 1963, managed by Appalachian Power. Live water-level readings are scraped from AEP Hydro on a regular schedule. The main public launch is Smith Mountain Lake State Park Boat Ramp at 1235 State Park Rd, Huddleston VA 24104.
