About Lake Norman

Lake Norman is a 32,510-acre reservoir in North Carolina, completed in 1962, managed by Duke Energy. Live water-level readings are scraped from Duke Energy on a regular schedule. Public launches include Blythe Landing, Lake Norman State Park Boat Ramp, and Beatty's Ford Access Area. Active sailing clubs include Lake Norman Yacht Club, Lake Norman Community Sailing, and Davidson College Sailing.
