About Lake Oconee
Lake Oconee is a 19,071-acre reservoir in Georgia, completed in 1979, managed by Georgia Power (FERC-licensed). Live pool elevation comes from NOAA's National Water Prediction Service (station wdmg1). The main public launch is Parks Ferry Public Recreation Area Boat Ramp at 1491 Parks Mill Dr, Greensboro GA 30642. Active sailing clubs include Freedom Boat Club Lake Oconee and Oconee Sailing & Yacht Club (Lake Sinclair).
