About Lake James
Lake James is a 6,812-acre reservoir in North Carolina, completed in 1923, managed by Duke Energy / NC State Parks. Live water-level readings are scraped from Duke Energy on a regular schedule. The main public launch is Hidden Cove Boat Ramp (Lake James State Park) at 3381 NC-126, Nebo NC 28761. The Carolina Sailing Club is the active sailing club on the water.
