About Lake Burton

Lake Burton is a 2,775-acre reservoir in Georgia, completed in 1919, managed by Georgia Power (FERC-licensed). Live water-level readings are scraped from southernco on a regular schedule. Public launches include Moccasin Creek State Park Boat Ramp, Murray Cove Boat Ramp, and LaPrade's Marina Launch Ramp. The LaPrade's Marina is the active sailing club on the water.
