About Heron Lake
Heron Lake is a 5,900-acre reservoir in New Mexico, completed in 1971, managed by NM EMNRD State Parks Division. Live pool elevation comes from USBR's RISE catalog. The main public launch is La Laja Boat Ramp at Heron Lake State Park, Los Ojos, NM 87551. Active sailing clubs include New Mexico Sailing Club and NM Hobie Fleet 48.
