About Lake Hartwell
Lake Hartwell is a 56,000-acre reservoir in South Carolina, completed in 1962, managed by USACE Savannah District. Live water-surface elevation comes from USGS gauge 02187010. Public launches include Lake Hartwell State Park Boat Ramp, Twin Lakes Recreation Area Boat Ramp, and Tugaloo State Park Megaramp. Active sailing clubs include Western Carolina Sailing Club, Lake Hartwell Sail & Power Squadron, and Big Water Sailing School.
