About Elephant Butte Reservoir

Elephant Butte Reservoir is a 36,500-acre reservoir in New Mexico, completed in 1916, managed by NM EMNRD State Parks Division. Live pool elevation comes from USBR's RISE catalog. Public launches include Marina del Sur (Main Ramp), Rock Canyon Boat Ramp, and Dam Site Boat Ramp. The Rio Grande Yacht Club is the active sailing club on the water.
